What is Conjunto
Conjunto is an accordion-driven style of music rooted in the Texas-Mexico borderlands and deeply connected to Tejano and Chicano culture. Built around the button accordion and bajo sexto, Conjunto became the soundtrack of communities brought together through dancing, storytelling, and shared traditions.
Why Conjunto
Conjunto Showcase en Minnesota exists to celebrate, preserve, and grow Mexican Conjunto music in Minnesota. The showcases create opportunities for Minnesota-based musicians to perform, connect, and share this tradition, while bringing live conjunto music, culture, and community to audiences across the state.
