Mexican Conjunto music is a style of music that originated in south Texas at the end of the 19th century. It is dance music that tells the stories of the everyday lives of the Mexican-American working class. Conjunto music has always called southern Texas and northern Mexico its home base, but many Mexican-Americans throughout the country embrace Conjunto, including the state of Minnesota.
Join us for the 2025 Conjunto Showcase en Minnesota concert and dance. A good old-fashioned baile! The 225 Event Center has partnered with us to bring another great night of Conjunto music to St. James! Featuring live performances from two of Minnesota's premier Conjunto groups: Nieves Del Norte and Los Rebeldes. Nieves Del Norte and Los Rebeldes.
Taqueria Las 3 Lunas food truck will be onsite selling food, Plaza Jalisco will be selling drinks, Unique Items by April will be selling Mexican candies and treats, and Face Painting by DaNiella will be painting the kid's faces!

La música de Conjunto Mexicano es un estilo que se originó en el sur de Texas a finales del siglo XIX. Es música bailable que cuenta las historias de la vida cotidiana de la clase trabajadora méxico-americana. Aunque el Conjunto siempre ha tenido su base en el sur de Texas y el norte de México, muchos méxico-americanos en todo el país lo han adoptado, incluyendo el estado de Minnesota.
